Azeri Oil Exports From Supsa Port Resume

Tanker loadings resumed at the Black Sea port of Supsa and the first tanker was lifted last weekend according to BP.

  • In total two Azeri Light crude cargoes are planned for export via Supsa in February, the first flows since BP temporarily shut down the pipeline following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
  • BP stopped exports via the WREP, also known as Baku-Supsa, since May, citing “tanker unavailability at the Black Sea” after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
  • Two cargoes of each 650,000 barrels are planned for this month according to a loading programme.
  • The second tanker is expected to be loaded this week, BP said.
