US TSY FLOWS
US TSY FLOWS: Back in the pool everyone? Or too early to say re: current risk-on
rebound in equities after two-day rout? Tsys weaker, curves mildly steeper, mild
US$ bounce, VIX paring strong gains.
- Still, rather decent volume on futures as yields rebound, TYZ>430k at moment.
- On tap today: import/export index numbers, UofMich sentiment and several Fed
speakers, Chicago Fed Pres Evans at 0930ET, Atl Fed Pres Bostic at 1230ET and US
Fed VC Quarles late evening from Bali.
- Moderate two-way flow on the way down in futures w/some dealer customer flow
wary of taking on added risk ahead weekend, others noted broad based selling in
5s, 10s and 30s w/prop and fast$ sellers 5s-10s, 2s10s steepeners. Rate
receivers in wings during Asia hours, some mild spd curve flatteners in shorts
to intermediates.
- Tsy cash/ylds: 2Y 99-24.75 (2.865%), 5Y 99-10 (3.023%), 10Y 97-16 (3.171%),
30Y 93-16.5 (3.343%).
