Gilts have started to pare earlier losses with yields inching down towards yesterday's close.

  • Last yields: 2-year -0.0638%, 5-year -0.0877%, 10-year 0.1984%, 30-year 0.7382%.
  • The Dec-20 gilt future trades at 136.34, near the middle of the day's range (L: 136.07 / H: 135.56)
  • The short sterling futures strip is broadly 0.5-1.0 ticks lower in reds/greens/blues
  • Tomorrow the DMO will offer GBP2.75bn of the 0.125% Jan-28 gilt.
  • Looking ahead, August money supply and consumer credit data will be published tomorrow and the final estimate of Q2 GDP will be published on Wednesday.
