Baltics, Finland To Have Sufficient Gas This Winter: TSO

NATURAL GAS

The Baltic-Finnish region will have sufficient gas supplies this winter because of the commissioning of a new FLNG terminal in Finland, an analyst at Estonian TSO Elering said.

  • “Gas supply should not pose a problem this winter”, he said.
  • The floating storage and regasification unit Exemplar is scheduled to come online in December and has a volume of around 151,000 cubic meters, equivalent to around 68,000t of LNG, operator Fortnum said.
  • The TSO expect the region to receive 68TWh of supplies between June 2022 and May 2023, including 15TWh from the new terminal.
