Banxico's Borja Says Restrictive Policy For As Long As It Takes

  • Banxico’s monetary policy will remain restrictive for as long as it takes to bring inflation down and get closer to the 3% target, with a range of +/- 1%, the central bank’s Deputy Governor Galia Borja said in an interview with El Economista. (Bloomberg)
    • “It seems premature to me to talk about how long we will be on pause when in the most recent decision (of March 30) the rate was increased by 25 basis points,” she said to the media outlet.
