Battle Lines Drawn Ahead Of NFPs

GOLD

Bullion sits ~$5/oz below the levels witnessed 24 hours ago, hovering just shy of $1,775/oz, off of Thursday’s worst levels after our weighted U.S. real yield monitor moved into negative territory into the NY close. That came as the DXY consolidated around best levels of the session, with continued hawkish Fed rhetoric front and centre. Still, familiar technical lines in the sand remain in play ahead of Friday’s NFP print. Key support comes in at the Nov 3 low ($1,759.0/oz), while initial resistance is seen at the Nov 26 high ($1,815.6/oz).
