BCB Director Confirms Unanimity Among Copom Board

  • Reuters have reported that Brazil's central bank director of institutional relations, Mauricio Moura, has confirmed the unanimity of the Copom board relating to the current and short-term future pace of monetary easing in Brazil.
  • According to the report, there was emphasis of this widespread support in the bank's latest policy decision regarding the indication the 50bp cutting pace would be appropriate for the upcoming meetings.
  • For reference, the remaining meetings in 2023 are on Nov 01 and Dec 13.
