Biden Administration Issues E15 Emergency Gasoline Waiver

The Biden Administration is using emergency powers to allow widespread sales of E15 gasoline this summer – the same thing it has done the last two years to try and keep a lid on rising prices.

  • High ethanol, E15 sales are typically banned during the summer months for lower E10 grades, which typically sell at a premium.
  • The waiver runs May 1-20 but additional ones are expected through summer.
  • US gasoline cracks have slipped marginally.
  • US gasoline crack down 0$/bbl at 31.05$/bbl
