Biden Continues Infrastructure Tour Following SOTU 2024 "Soft Launch"

President Joe Biden is shortly due to deliver remarks on the economy from Madison, Wisconsin following yesterday's State of the Union speech which was seen by many as a soft launch of Biden's 2024 presidential election campaign.

  • Biden is expected to continue to tout the legislative achievements of his administration and claim that strong jobs data reflect an effective slate of economic policies aimed at creating "good-paying, union jobs."
  • Joe Zepecki, a Milwaukee-based Democratic strategist said: "Wisconsin is a tipping point state, is a critical battleground for our politics, and it's no surprise that the President — who was here not too long ago to celebrate Labor Day last year — is coming back. I expect we'll see a lot more of him in the months and years to come."
  • The White House has said that Biden will continue a nationwide "blitz" to highlight Biden's accomplishments as further legislation is gridlocked by Republican control of the House of Representatives.
