FED: /BOJ/ECB: NatWest analyst Brian Daingerfield noted on central banks and
next week, that
the FOMC concludes its two-day September meeting on Wednesday with "updated
forecasts, an updated dot plot, and a Chair Yellen press conference. The Bank of
Japan also holds its September meeting, as does Norges Bank."
- He adds "the week ahead is jammed with notable speakers. Of course, both
Yellen and Kuroda each speak following their policy decisions. ECB President
Draghi is scheduled to speak on both Thursday and Friday, while ECB VP
Cosntancio is also speaking on Friday. On Monday, BoE Governor Carney speaks at
the IMF in Washington DC after conceding this week that the chance of a BoE rate
hike has greatly increased. BoC member Lane, usually not a focus, should get
some attention given the BoC's September rate hike caught many off-guard."
- He also said RBA Gov. Lowe "also has a speech next week called "The Next
Chapter", which catches my interest since RBA has largely pushed back against
the tide of global central banks shifting hawkish."
