BoK Governor Lee On Any Potential Further Easing

SOUTH KOREA

BoK Governor Lee notes that the Bank still has room to ease rates further, but flags the very low rate setting at present. He also notes that the Bank would consider the potential for a negative impact re: any further rate cuts, as well as flagging the scope for the deployment of non-rate tools. He also stresses that monetary & fiscal policy should compliment one another.
