BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: Bonds are on the front foot this morning in a fairly quiet morning
for volume. Gilts and Bunds are both performing well as the euro and sterling
underperform in a rare day of a bit more FX volatility (relative to recent
moves). Peripheral spreads are a little tighter on the day.
- UK data has been mixed with unemployment rising more than expected but
earnings coming in better than expected. The German ZEW was disappointing on
both current situation and expectations components.
- Later today, the EU parliament will vote on Ursula von der Leyen's candidate
with voting due to begin at 17:00BST and last around two hours.
- It is a busy day for US data today with retail sales and IP the main releases,
but import/export prices, NAHB housing data and business inventories data also
due.
- TY1 futures are unch today at 127-05+ with Bund futures  up 0.27 today at
172.60 and Gilt futures are up 0.15 today at 130.99.
