BRAZIL: Budget Guidelines Bill Vote May Not Be Before July 17

These would include deadlines to pay off social security debts in instalments and limits for the payment of court orders, according to the chamber’s news agency.
  • The rapporteur of the budget guidelines bill has said there is a possibility it will move forward together with the budget, which will reach Congress in August.
  • The senator will await the position of Minister Tebet to define the path forward, and the guidelines bill may not be put to a vote before July 17, the last day for Congress to meet.
