Bulgaria Opens Tender For LNG Delivery Via Turkey

LNG

Bulgargaz called a public tender for the supply of 500,000MWh of LNG in April for the delivery via a gas terminal in Turkey, as part of an agreement signed by both countries last month, the firm said.

  • The agreement signed, last month, gives Bulgargaz access to the Turkish gas infrastructure.
  • As a pre-condition for participation in the tender, the LNG must come from countries on which no sanctions, embargoes or any other trade restrictions have been imposed.
  • Expressions of interest for participation in the tender will be accepted until 28 Feb and formal offers will be accepted until 9 Mar. The supplier is seeking a minimum of two tanker loads, which when regasified must be equivalent to a total amount of no less than 1,500,000 MWh.
