DOLLAR-YEN TECHS: Bullish Momentum Stalls Below 114.00
Despite two attempts to regain 114.00 Friday and a further attempt early Monday,
USD/JPY looks to finish Monday's session below this level, keeping the neutral
short-term outlook intact. The bigger picture trend remains bullish though and a
close back above 114 would target the Oct 4 & Nov 2017 highs at 114.55/73. A
break opens the Mar 10 2017 high & 61.8% retracement level at 115.51/61. Bears
take confidence in the close below the Oct 3 low at 113.53, helping to trigger a
short-term topping pattern that may open the Sep 28 low at 112.56 ahead of up
trendline & 100-dma support at 111.29/19.
