GOLD: Bulls are threatening to force a break above the triangle top, after a
couple of relatively heavy sessions for Wall St. equities and a gloomy economic
assessment from Fed Chair Powell (although he did push back against the idea of
negative rates, as expected).
- Spot last deals at $1,714/oz, marginally softer on the day.
- If bulls manage to force their way through the upper end of the aforementioned
triangle formation, they will switch focus to $1,723.1/oz, the May 8 high.
