Cabinet To Hold First Policy Meeting On Jul 11-12

Bloomberg reports that Minister in the Presidency Khumbydzo Ntshavheni told reporters that the so-called cabinet lekgotla (policy meeting) will take place next week, between July 11 and 12.

  • Ntshavheni said that the so-called Forum of South African Directors General is studying the manifestos of parties which joined the government of national unity (GNU) and will propose a joint policy agenda.
  • President Cyril Ramaphosa will then unveil the government's programme of action during the official opening of parliament on July 18.
