California Diesel Inventories Hit All-Time Low

Combined California diesel stocks fell to the lowest level on record for the week ending May 24, according to Argus.

  • Combined diesel inventories, including renewable diesel, totalled 2.3m bbl.
  • CARB diesel stocks totalled 1.37m bbl, down 13% on the week. Other diesel fuel inventories were down nearly 17%.
  • California jet fuel production rose nearly 18% to 321k b/d, the highest level since April 19.
  • Jet fuel inventories were also up 0.6% to 3.24m bbl.
  • Crude throughput in California was up 9.4% to 1.44m b/d as stocks shrunk by 19% to 11.1m bbl.
