Capacity at France-Belgium July Jao CBC Auction Rises

France again increased its CBC capacity in the direction of Belgium in the latest CBC auctions for delivery in July on the Joint Allocation Office (JAO).

  • In the Belgium-France direction, 524MW of the 525MW of offered capacity has been allocated at €1.18/MWh for July delivery.
  • For June delivery, all 525MW of offered capacity in the Belgium-French direction was allocated at €1.38/MWh.
  • In the France-Belgium direction, 612MW of the 614MW of offered capacity has been allocated at €12.25/MWh for July delivery. The month before, France allocated 240MW at €18.25/MWh.
  • The French July power base-load contract settled on 19 June €47.01/MWh, at a €12.49/MWh discount to the Belgian market.
