Catlettsburg Refinery Rates Recover Back Above 280kb/d

Marathon’s 291kb/d Catlettsburg refinery in northeastern Kentucky has raised run rates back above 280kb/d and still increasing after falling as low as 200kb/d last weekend according to Bloomberg sources.

  • The refinery cut run rates by as much as 38% amid a shut lock on the Ohio River due to storm debris from high water.
  • The refinery uses the Ohio River to transport crude feedstock and to send out gasoline and diesel to Chicago and NY Harbor markets.
