CBRT Survey Sees Inflation Expectations at Highest Since 2002

CBRT's market participants survey findings:

  • June 12 month inflation expectations rose to 37.91% from 33.28%. That's the highest inflation expectations read for decades, but beaten by the 49.45% reading in 2001
  • 24-month inflation expectations are 22.04%, while year-end inflation is estimated at 64.59%.
  • Exchange rate estimates notched higher also, with year-end USD/TRY estimated at 18.89 from 17.57 in the last survey.
