CDU Rates Among China’s State-Owned Refineries to Fall: OilChem

OIL

CDU rates among state-owned refineries are projected to fall in the week to March 22, according to OilChem.

  • This is a factor of maintenance beginning at the Zhongke refinery.
  • Among independent refineries in China’s Shandong province, newly arrived feedstocks are expected to lift production and cause a slight rise in CDU utilisation.
  • CDU rates averaged 73.15% amongst domestic refineries in the week to March 14, down 0.15 percentage points on the week.
  • Run rates at state-owned refineries stabilised, while production fell at some independent refineries in north and central China. This offset a production ramp up in Shandong.
