CEE Currencies Mean Revert In April

  • The CEE currencies experienced a strong recovery in April following the March depreciation.
  • The PLN was the best performer, up 4.3% this month against the USD after depreciating by 5.2% in March.
  • The CZK and HUF were the second and third best performers in April, up 3.6% and 3.1%, respectively.
  • The ZAR continues its positive momentum against the USD, up 1.8% this month after appreciating by 2.3% in March amid rising real interest rate differential.
