Central Bank Survey Sees First Rate Rise In October

  • Central bank published their monthly survey of economists on website yesterday. Economists raised their 2021 CPI Est. to 3.74% from 3.68%. Additionally, they expect the first rate move to occur in October with a 25bp increase.
  • Softer data released yesterday. Of note, economic activity data for May will be released on Monday.

    • Colombia May Retail Sales +22.8% Y/y; Est. +26.7%
  • Some of the former Colombian soldiers accused of involvement in the assassination of President Jovenel Moise went to Haiti to work as bodyguards, but others knew a crime was being planned, Colombia's president said on Thursday. (NP)
