POWER: Centrica Signs Optimisation Agreement for 50MW BESS in Finland

Centrica Energy and Aquila Clean Energy signed an optimisation agreement for a 50MW BESS project in Kotka, southern Finland, it said. 

  • “Centrica will optimise the battery to support balancing of the power grid and maximise revenue generation through applying a multi-market optimisation approach with participation in spot and ancillary service markets”, it said.
  • The agreement was signed on 3 December and will start during 2025.
