MNI BRIEF: China To Boost Passenger Train Services

MNI (BEIJING) - China has issued guidelines to increase the number of trains designed for elderly travellers by 2027, along with expanding routes and available onboard products, according to nine ministries, including the Ministry of Commerce, on Tuesday. 

Plans include renovations of tourist destination subway stations with a better provision of age friendly services, the announcement said, as Beijing looks to boost the economy.
