CFTC Data Shows Speculators Turn Toward CAD, Away from AUD

- As per Friday's CFTC CoT report, markets swung most positively toward CAD, trimming the CAD net short by circa 4,400 contracts to leave the net short at 11% of open interest (was 16% the prior week).
- The largest negative change on the week was in AUD, which saw 7k contracts trimmed from the net long, leaving the position at an only marginally positive 4k contracts.
- Markets continue to trim EUR longs, pulling the net position further from the 52w high of 211k to this week's 169k, although the change only represented 0.6% of open interest.
