Changes to corporate bond purchase programme

BOE

The BOE will make some changes to its corporate bond sales programme, as it confirms it has now sold over 65% of its holdings.

  • It will now make each eligible bond available for purchase each week on Tuesday or Wednesday rather than fortnightly.
  • The BOE will also make bonds from all issuers eligible to be bought back from the issuer every Thursday, including bonds that mature on/before 5 April 2024 which are not offered via auction.
  • The changes will come into effect from the W/C 24 April.
  • The full Market Notice is available here.
