Cheniere on Track for First LNG from Corpus Stage 3 in 2024

Cheniere Energy remains on track for the first LNG production from its stage 3 expansion at Corpus Christi LNG in Texas, executives said in a Q1 earnings call.

  • The company is planning a “smaller scale” maintenance during the summer and does not plan a long outage like in 2023, the CEO Jack Fusco said.
  • The first LNG cargo is expected at Corpus Stage 3 expansion this year.
  • All seven trains of the additional phase are still on track to be online before the end of 2026.
  • Permitting continues for Trains 8 and 9 at Corpus Christi, with final investment targeted for 2025.
  • Cheniere continues to contract volume for the next expansion phase at Sabine Pass.
