Cheniere Secures More Deals for Sabine Pass LNG Expansion Project

Cheniere has signed a long-term Integrated Production Marketing (IPM) gas supply agreement with ARC Resources and OMV for its Sabine Pass Expansion project according to Bloomberg.

  • Under the IPM agreement, Arc will sell 14,000 mmbtu/day of natural gas to the Sabine Pass Expansion Project for the duration of 15 years, starting with commercial operations of the first train – Train 7.
  • The agreement is subject to a final FID on Train 7. The LNG associated with this gas supply, around 0.85mtpa, will be marketed by Cheniere.
  • In addition, Cheniere signed an LNG supply deal with OMV AG to supply 12 LNG cargoes per year – equal to around 0.85mtpa of LNG at a TTF-linked price, starting in late 2029.
  • The LNG will be sold to OMV on a DES basis at the Gate LNG Terminal in the Netherlands.
