Cheniere To Supply 1.75mn t/yr Of LNG To Equinor From Sabine Pass Extension

Cheniere Energy has signed a long-term LNG supply agreement with Equinor for the delivery of 1.75mn tonnes/yr of LNG, with half of the contract volume to be delivered from 2027 and the other half by the end of this decade, Cheniere said.

  • The supply agreement is for the duration of 15 years, starting from the first delivery of the total contract volume.
  • The second half of the contract volume will be delivered upon reaching a positive FID for the Sabine Pass extension.
  • The supply agreement will help support the proposed expansion of its Sabine Pass natural gas plant in Louisiana.
  • This agreement is in addition to another supply deal between the firms signed last year.
