Chevron Restarts LNG and Domestic Gas Supply from Wheatstone Facility

{au}{5i} LNG - Chevron has restarted full LNG production and domestic gas supplies at Australia’s Wheatstone gas facility, according to a statement on Jun 23.

  • Full production was resumed "with the safe re-start of the facility's two LNG trains and domestic gas plant," a spokesperson said.
  • The Wheatstone gas facility suspended activities on June 10 to complete repairs of its offshore platform’s fuel system.
  • The return of the 8.9m tons a year export capacity helps to ease some upside price pressure driven by the reduced supply risks. The facility primarily supplies Asia including Japan and South Korea.
