CHILE: Government Raises 2025 GDP Forecast To 2.7%

- In its quarterly public finance report, which has been presented before a Senate committee, the government has trimmed its 2025 CPI forecast to 4.2%, from 4.4%, even as the 2025 GDP growth forecast was raised marginally from 2.6%.
- The government's 2024 GDP forecast remains at 2.6%, while this year's CPI forecast was increased by 20bp to 3.9%.
- The copper price is expected to average $4.30 per pound next year, up from $4.15 this year.
- The 2025 gross debt estimate was raised to 41.3% of GDP, from 41.0%, while the cyclically-adjusted fiscal deficit is seen at 1.1% of GDP, down from 2.3% this year.
