CHINA
CHINA: China and the U.S. can "certainly" find solutions to address each other's
concerns through equal dialogue, said Gao Feng, the spokesman of the Ministry of
Commerce, or MOFCOM, at a briefing on Thursday.
- Negotiations will resume on equal and mutual ground, Gao said, without
confirming whether talks have started. Two sides maintained communication for
the implementation of the consensus at the Osaka G20 summit, he said.
- China has established a similar exemption mechanism for the retaliatory
tariffs against U.S. goods based on companies' requests, Gao said commenting on
U.S. giving tariff exemptions to 110 Chinese products.
- China took note that Huawei Technology is still on the U.S. blacklist and
urges the U.S. to keep its promise and stop abusing its power, Gao said.
- There has been no large-scale capital outflows from China, Gao said adding
that the Chinese government won't pressure or discriminate foreign companies.
