China Should Create Joint Financial Supervision: People's Daily

China should urgently establish a joint supervisory mechanism to strengthen its ability to prevent and control financial risks, as financial security is critical to national security, according to an article by an unidentified inspector at China's banking regulator, published in the People's Daily. Joint supervision requires cooperation between government ministries including the discipline inspection department and local authorities, and this is the only way regulators can find financial risks early and reduce the cost of later risk disposal, the article said.
