China’s LNG Terminal Operating Rates Fall

Operating rates at Chinese LNG terminals was 57.46% in the week to Sep. 21, down 2.49 percentage points, according to OilChem.

  • The fall on the week was attributed to unit overhauls or reductions in operations at some LNG plants before the national holidays, OilChem said.
  • Compared to the same period in 2022, operating rates are up by 5 percentage points.
  • Inventory at LNG facilities in China was 304,900 mt on Sep. 21, down 4.45% on the previous week due to reductions in Northwest China.
