China’s Refined Oil Product Exports Down 3.42% in June

China’s exports of refined oil, namely gasoline, gasoil, and kerosene, totalled 3.41m mt in June, down 3.42% on the month, according to GACC data cited by OilChem.

  • Gasoline exports jumped 8.02% on the month to 0.93m mt amid sagging domestic consumption. This is despite weakening export profits which were down 60% on the year.
  • Gasoil exports were down 23.25% on the month in June to 0.82m mt, primarily due to meagre export profits pushing more product into the domestic market.
  • Jet fuel exports were 1.65m mt in June, up 3.74% on the month and 53% on the year amid the summer travel peak season across Asia.
  • China’s refined oil exports for July are planned at 3.25m mt, down 10.96% on planned volumes in June.
