China's short-term external debt........>

CHINA PRESS: China's short-term external debt stood at $1.27 trillion by
end-2018, accounting for 41.4% of the foreign exchange reserves -- the highest
level since 1994, -- the 21st Century Business Herald reported Tuesday, citing
data from SAFE. This was mainly a reflection of foreign investors' buying large
amounts of China's yuan bond since 2017, when Bond Connect was launched, the
paper reported, citing an unnamed FX analyst. Although there are no great
concerns over external debt risks, the authorities should take preventive
measures with debt levels at historic highs, the newspaper said.
