Chinese Diesel Exports Flowing on Higher Quotas

Chinese diesel exports almost doubled last month from a year prior on higher export quotas out of Beijing.

  • Diesel exports totaled 1.06 million tons in October, equivalent to 255,000 bpd, down from September but the second highest since July 2021.
  • China’s refiners are planning to increase oil-product shipments to 6.06m tons this month, a gain of 37% m/m, following the allocation of new export quota, according to a note from industry consultant OilChem.
