Chinese Traffic Trails Away from Record June Levels


Traffic in China fell by 7.1% in the week leading up to July 19 to reach 124.3% of January 2021 levels according to Bloomberg analysis of Baidu data.

  • Traffic levels had hit their highest levels on record within the data set last month before trailing away.
  • Gasoline and jet demand remains strong in China while diesel demand has lagged – pushing higher exports this month.
