COLOMBIA: Fitch Ratings Event, BanRep’s Taboada Speaks At Pension Event

Meanwhile, Mines and Energy Minister Andres Camacho is scheduled to speak at an energy event at 1415BST, and BanRep co-director Bibiana Taboada will speak at a pension event at 1630BST.
  • On the macro front, no data are due today, with August IP and retail sales figures the next scheduled release on Tuesday. August economic activity figures will also follow later next week, which will provide a steer for policymakers ahead of the Oct 31 MPC meeting, when discussions around an acceleration of the easing pace will again be on the agenda.
  • Meanwhile, the finance ministry said yesterday that it had completed this year’s plan for TES bond auctions, with a final sale of COP730bn ($172m) in local securities with maturities in 2036, 2046 and 2050. The auction of COP1tn ($236 million) of green TES bonds is still pending, according to the statement.
