Comfortably Above Average Turnover In Asia, Waller, Australian CPI & RBNZ Drive Turnover

FOREX
Desks have flagged a busy Asia FX session turnover-wise, with feedthrough from Fed Governor Waller’s dovish commentary in NY hours (BBDXY moved through yesterday’s low before bouncing off worst levels), softer than expected monthly Australian CPI data (leaving AUD at the bottom of the G10 FX pack) and the hawkish hold from the RBNZ (NZD outperforms all G10 peers) providing the notable catalysts. Turnover was somewhere in the region of 70% above the recent norms, per several desks.
