POWER: Consortium, Tennet Sign Agreement for 2GW Offshore Wind Connection

The Noordzeker consortium has signed an agreement with TenneT for the offshore grid connection of the 2GW IJmuiden Ver Alpha wind farm in the Netherlands, according to a statement seen by Bloomberg. 

  • The Noordzeker consortium including ABP, APG and SSE Renewables. The agreement gives the green light for the construction of the grid infrastructure from the offshore wind farm to the Dutch grid.
  • The FID for the project is expected by late 2025 and commissioning is scheduled for the end of the decade, SSE previously reported.
