EUROZONE DATA
MNI (London)

EUROZONE SEP FLASH CONSUMER CONFIDENCE -28.8; AUG -25.0r

  • Euro area consumer sentiment dropped by 3.8 points in September to a fresh record low of -28.8, another weaker-than-expected reading for the survey implying waning consumer spending for the bloc.
  • Soaring inflation reaching 9.1% in August alongside pessimistic outlooks and concerns regarding neighbouring Ukraine war has generated substantial economic uncertainty within the Euro area.
