  • On the other hand, consumer's savings intentions jumped 9pt in Jul, holding
    further deterioration back
  • Households opinion about their future financial situation dropped slightly in
    Jul (-1pt), while their assessment of the current financial situation fell 2pt
  • The fear of unemployment eased marginally in Jul, but remains elevated with
    the index still registering above the long-term average
  • Consumer's intentions to make major purchases cooled by 1pt in Jul after it
    it rose significantly in Jun
