Continues To Firm, Lower US Yields Help

NZD

NZD/USD has continued to gravitate higher, last in the 0.6145/50 region. This puts us nearly +0.4% firmer for the session (highs rest at 0.6149). At the margins, the kiwi is outperforming JPY and AUD in the G10 space, but not by much. The broader BBDXY is off 0.14% at this stage.

  • Sentiment has been supported by a generally positive regional equity market backdrop. Aggregate China indices are close to flat, but property stocks are doing better.
  • US equity futures are a touch higher, while US yields have ticked lower, more so at the back end, the 10yr back to just under 4.22%.
  • For NZD/USD, recent highs rest in the 0.6220/25 region.
  • The main data focus will rest on Thursday's Q3 GDP print.
