EGB SUMMARY: Core EGBs are a little higher early Tuesday, with a large slate of
ECB speakers set to take centre stage later.
- The Mar 19 Bund future is up 17 ticks at 166.57, with a jump at European open
this morning to 166.66 fading.
- 2-Yr yield is up 1.6bps at -0.542% ahead of E5bln Schatz sale this morning.
5-Yr is down 1.3bps at -0.347%, 10-Yr is down 1.4bps at 0.094%.
- French OAT spreads continue to slowly compress, 10-Yr vs Germany last 41.3bps,
down 0.2bps on the day.
- Periphery EGB spreads fairly steady, Italy/Spain/Portugal/Greece 0.5-0.8bps
wider to Bunds.
- Very heavy slate of ECB speakers today: de Cos up at 0830GMT, Lane at 0930GMT,
Mersch at 1430GMT, Visco at 1600GMT and Coeure at 1900GMT.
- Eurozone data is out of the way for the day, all consumer confidence: France
came in on the high side at 95 for Feb (MNI Median 92, prior 92). German March
GFK confidence at 10.8 was bang in line with MNI median and prior.
