EGB SUMMARY: Core EGBs have opened Tuesday fairly steady, with BTPs down
sharply, as a slew of ECB speakers awaits.
- The Dec 18 Bund future is down 3 ticks at 159.71, having traded in a range of
159.61-159.72 today. The 2-Yr yield is unchanged at -0.608%, 5-Yr is up 0.3bps
at -0.168%, 10-Yr is up 0.4bps at 0.43%, and 30-Yr is up 0.4bps at 1.065%.
- However, the BTP futures are down 50 ticks at 122.34; little reconciliation
between Italy and the EU seen out of Monday's Eurogroup meeting.
- Other periphery EGB spreads fairly steady to Bunds, however.
- French OATs a little weaker too, 10-yr yield up 0.6bps at 0.797%.
- Euribor steady across the strip.
- Above-consensus Sep German factory orders (0.3% M/M vs -0.5% Exp) seen this
morning, Eurozone PPI data at 1000GMT; otherwise the focus is on ECB speakers.
- These include ECB`s Praet (0730GMT), Coeure (1115GMT), Lautenschlager
(1200GMT), and Guindos (1300GMT).
- New EFSF 10-Yr Jan-24 also being syndicated today, guidance in MS-12bps area.
