BOND SUMMARY: Core European bonds have moved higher after the open, led by
gilts. Last night's release of the YouGov MRP poll (which was the most accurate
in predictions for the last election) showed that the Conservative lead had
narrowed and a hung parliament is within the realms of possibility.
- The focus today will be on the FOMC meeting, with the change in language
likely to be closely watched. US-China trade headlines will also be in focus
through the day.
- TY1 futures are unch today at 128-29+ with 10y UST yields down -1.2bp at
1.830% and 2y yields down -1.0bp at 1.643%.
- Bund futures are up 0.09 today at 172.32 with 10y Bund yields down -0.6bp at
-0.303% and Schatz yields down -0.5bp at -0.649%.
- Gilt futures are up 0.12 today at 131.75 with 10y yields down -1.6bp at 0.782%
and 2y yields down -1.3bp at 0.573%.
