Core FI Steady, Await FOMC Decision

BOND SUMMARY

T-Notes last trade -0-01 at 139-21+, stick to a tight range as the recent
news/data flow hasn't really offered anything of much note. U.S. Tsy yields sit
marginally higher across the curve. Eurodollar futures last seen -0.5 to +0.5
tick through the reds. The looming FOMC MonPol decision takes focus today
(please click here for our preview).

  • JGB futures have eased off best levels and last sit at 152.38, +8 ticks
    vs. settlement. JGB yields trade lower in cash trade, with the super-long
    end marginally outperforming. The BoJ left purchase sizes of its 1-5 Rinban
    ops unchanged today.
  • In Australia, YM trades unch. & XM sits +4.0 as we type. Similar
    flattening impetus has crept into cash curve, with yields generally sitting
    lower. Bills trade unch. to -1 tick through the reds. Immediate focus falls
    on Australian Q2 CPI, due shortly.
